Hankook Extends Partnership With GulfSport Racing For Gulf ProCar

Hankook Motorsport is pleased to confirm a multi-year supply agreement for the Gulf Radical Cup and the Gulf ProCar.

The Gulf Radical Cup has seen increased grids since series promoter GulfSport Racing took back control of the championship 2018, having first started the series in 2006. It was during this change that Hankook were nominated as the official tyre supplier for the Gulf Radical Cup.

Over recent years the championship has gone from strength to strength, and with the upcoming 2022 - 23 season looking to be the largest grid to date with a number of drivers already committed to the 21 race championship racing at Dubai Autodrome and Yas Marina Circuit.

James Kim Head of Hankook Motorsport added:

“We are pleased to continue our partnership with GulfSport Racing for the Gulf Radical Cup and now Gulf ProCar on a multi-year contract. The Hankook Radical F200 slick tyre offers the drivers precise handling and durability, to ensure the racing is always close.”

Martin Hope - GulfSport Racing Managing Partner:

“We are pleased to continue this relationship with Hankook for the Gulf Radical Cup and now Gulf ProCar. When we committed to take over the promotion of Gulf ProCar finding a tyre deal was one of our priorities. Having a single supplier for tyres really takes a load off the team and drivers. Dragon racing run a very professional operation, and will be present at all the events offering full support.”

The all new Gulf ProCar launched in June 2022, series promoter Gulfsport Racing is taking over the reins of one of the UAE’s oldest championships which sees GT, Prototype and Touring cars battling it out on the same grid split by a multitude of classes across a 12 race season with an enduro event capping off the championship.

With entries already coming in, this could well be the biggest grid the championship has seen to date.

“It is fantastic to see that Hankook Motorsport have been re-appointed as the official tyre supplier after a 2 year absence from the Gulf ProCar Championship and ensures that the drivers will once again race on a tyre that offers the best performance and durability within the market. Hankook Motorsport have been working closely with Dragon Racing for 8 years now and the latest announcement shows our continued growth within the region and our focus to support the Middle East market.” Commented James Kim Head of Hankook Motorsport.

The Gulf Radical Cup and Gulf ProCar both kick off their 2022-2023 season at Dubai Autodrome on 21st October 2022.
