Local Champ Signs up for Gulf ProCar

With less that 20 days to go until the start of the Gulf ProCar season, it’s time to announce a series of new entries.

With the signing of an official partnership with TCR, its very exciting to see local Greek racer & multiple ProCar champion from that past 15 years Alex Annivas come back for another season. Alex continues to race with Dragon Racing in his 2019 Cupra TCR car.

Alex added:

“We have known GulfSport Racing and Martin Hope since the early days back of 2005-2006, when we first started racing in the UAE. We have been supporting the national championships since day one when the Dubai Autodrome opened its doors for National Championships, we haven't missed a single season.

So even though our plans for this year were totally different, we didn't have a second thought and we agreed to support GulfSport Racing when found out that they‘ve stepped forward and taken over the championship as promoter.

Gulfsport has been running the Gulf Radical Cup successfully and we believe that they have the knowhow on how to run Gulf ProCar with the same success. Its good to see other local teams also embrace the series and work together with the promoter in order to grow the local scene.

It is no secret that international championships and race organizers have been choosing more and more the UAE. With two state of art race facilities, more and more recognised international teams are choosing our championships for their winter development programme. So hopefully more can join and have a big level playing field”

Alex will be going head to head with other TCR machines this season, but with the tie up between Gulf ProCar and TCR, all balance of performance parameters will be implemented for an even playing field.

Keep tuned in for more entry announcements this week, a provisional entry list and round one schedule.
